Specify whether direct delivery of containers from a railcar or vessel is allowed for your site. A direct delivery occurs when a container is discharged from a railcar or vessel directly to an external truck or sometimes to a holding area for an external truck. However, a direct delivery does not use a intermediate yard position.
Set it as ALWAYS:
For rail operations, if you want N4 to allow direct delivery of containers from a railcar.
Set it as NEVER (default):
For rail operations, if you want N4 to prevent direct delivery of containers from a railcar.
For vessel operations, if you want N4 to prevent direct delivery of containers from a vessel unless a container is nominated for direct delivery. In this case, all direct delivery containers must be nominated by selecting the Is Ib to Ob move direct? check box either in the Delivery Requirements form (on page 1) or the Routing form (on page 1), depending on a unit’s dray status.
If you set INVDIRECT_DELIVERY001 to NEVER but want to allow direct deliveries from a vessel for nominated containers, you must exclude the RejectContainerNotInYard business task at the applicable gate stages to prevent errors during gate processing.
